Unfortunately the Lady Tigers were handed their second loss of the season this morning with a 32-16 loss to the Lady Volunteers. Although Gray scored 8 of our 16 points. She was awarded the gray star for outstanding offense, where her coaches praised her for her smart play and hustle. The girl she was guarding was a head taller than Gray. On one play, her girl was bringing the ball down the court and Gray was waiting for her at half court. The other team set a screen on Gray, her girl took off dribbling down the right side. Not to be outdone, Gray rolled off of the screen to the left and ran all the way around under the basket and was waiting for her girl on her drivein layup. Gray surprised her, she flubbed her dribble, Gray grabbed it and took off down to our basket with an easy layup for a score. VERY smart play, to use her speed to her advantage!

Loved the description of Gray's big play. Go, Gracie!! It seemed a bit familiar. We might have seen something similar at Trinity's gym a FEW years back! By the way, Matt received a white star today. Love, M & N
