Facebook Post

The following is what Stephanie Berkemeyer, Jackson's 2nd grade teacher, posted on her Facebook page this evening:

"I wanted to say that my favorite part of the day was when one of my students played The ABCs song on his violin while the rest of us sang the song forward and BACKWARD! We had a ton of fun working on fluency and poetry. I love my class and it feels like family!"

Bet you can guess who the musician was?!?!

It's Been A While...

Needless to say, things are in full and busy swing around the Karl household lately. I feel like we are constantly running, which is closer to the truth. Let me try and recap a few notes:

1. Jack and I enjoyed The Lion King in 3D - a Disney classic.
2. Gracie's progress report was fantastic!
3. Jack's progress report was fantastic!
4. Gray's volleyball team has only lost 1 match all season so far. She is now starting on the B team and loving it.
5. Jack had his first practice swim meet on Saturday morning. He got second in his heat for 25 yard freestyle.
6. Bo contracted some kind of fungal infection on his nose and mouth, fixed it to the tune of $400.00. Not my dog...
7. Gracie just finished reading the book "Heaven is For Real."
8. Jack was selected to be one of three students to speak on stage and do the introduction to the audience for the 1st and 2nd grade musical on October 13th.
9. Gracie has broken both of our outdoor decorative lights on either side of our garage door by pounding them nightly with a volleyball.
10. PETE IS SMILING AT OUR FALL WEATHER!

A Rare Glimpse into Acxiom

Acxiom just acquired a new CEO named Scott Howe. He is 43 years old, full of energy and integrity, loves BBQ, so he hosted a corporate wide Razorback Tailgating party at work on Friday afternoon. Account teams competed for the Spirit Award. So in true fashion, my D&B account took it very seriously...above is our Delivery Executive Tim Ward on the left (I work very closely with him), VP Mike Lloyd in the center, and Bill Minner, Delivery Executive on the right. They dressed as coaches.

This is our account team! If you look closely, the person near the center holding blue SPIRIT STICK is Toni, my good friend and next door neighbor. Note the boys from my team in the front with the body paints!! And yes, WE WON THE AWARD!

Here is where the CEO announced us as the winners...by a landslide!

There was even a hog...

Shari and I trying to dunk our Senior Manager Rob Morse in the dunking booth. He wore a Texas longhorns jersey - a big no-no in Hog country.

And here is Rob

Our cheerleaders from my team - Michaela and Alyson!

Tim with the spirit stick!

And the HOGS won yesterday!!!
