And how is Daisy?...wondering when this new 'thing' is leaving. She better get over it!

Well MY house is quiet...

...bet Camp Cape is NOT! Sounds like the kids were off and running to set up their apartment the minute they got to Nana and Papa's. I know they will have an awesome time!

I have a perfect EAST bracket, except for Syracuse...DK

Taking care of my little patient...

Gracie did extremely well with her teeth pulling this morning. 4 baby teeth and 2 perms. I just changed her gauze again and shot some Wendy's Frosty down her throat so she could take a pain pill. Her little head is wrapped in an ice pack - a scene all too familiar to me, except this time from a different vantage point, right Mom?
She's a trooper...D

AquaKids Rock State!

Arriving at state
Warm ups...her swim BF SarahGrace is in the black goggles...

Gracie is finished with her portion of the state meet, but the Hendrix AquaKids of Conway, AR continue to dominate the points. Our boys 10 and under medley relay team killed a state record that had stood for 30 years!

Both of G's relay teams did well, though not making a top 8 cut. G did AWESOME in her 100 breast and scored a personal best time! Coach Evan told her that was the race of her life. We have video of it, but it is too large to upload. But there were 7 girls in her heat. Coming into the final flip turn, she was in 5th. She turned, pushed off of the wall, and let loose! She smoked a few girls along the way and finished second in her heat behind her teammate Emma. Way to go, Gray!
Coming up this week...
Gracie gets 4 teeth pulled on Thursday for her braces
Getting packed up for Camp Cape
Tired and proud...D

It's Been a While...

No, the 6th grade dance is not still going on! LOL Wow, the time has really gotten away from me since Nana and Papa's visit!

This weekend is State swim at UALR in LR. Gray will be swimming the 200 free relay on Saturday and 100 breast and 200 medley relay on Sunday. Wish her good luck - she is excited! I will post pictures, promise. Softball season is just around the corner as well, and she has been working hard on her pitching. We got her a pitching coach this year, and Katie is working with her on breaking down the 8 fundamental steps, so hopefully it will pay off.

Jack has decided not to play baseball this spring because he will be field training his new dog. Yes, you read that correctly. Pete and Jack are road tripping to Virginia in two weeks to the same breeder that Kruse came from. Jack is getting a chocolate lab, Kruse will be this puppy's great uncle. Jack is still not 100% on the name, but front runners are Bo, Bear, Cody, and Pumpkin. (bet you can guess which one of those Pete will veto...heehee). The boys have been watching training videos, practicing their whistles, and found a lab/pond training field in LR to use for free. I am envisioning lots of future blogs about Daisy vs. Bo/Bear/Cody/Pumpkin.

Just now listening to the new about Japan...DK
