So Jack had a game last night at 7:00. The girls had softball practice until then for our big first game tonight, so we were running a little late to Jack's game. We are hurrying to the bleachers, and all of a sudden, the girls take off running and yelling. As I got closer, I realized they were lovin' on ASHTON, who drove all the way from Searcy to surprise us, and Jack! What an awesome chick! We just adore her! And she was our good luck charm - Jack got an awesome base hit and ended up scoring a run for the team! He was so excited! Thanks Ashton for making us an important part of your life!

It's Got a Hemi
Meet Pete's new ride. 2006 Dodge Ram 4X4, off road package. Only had 50,000 miles on it.
He got an awesome deal on this. And the dealership gave him exactly what he paid for his blue truck brand new in 2007 on the trade in price.
Note the already installed Mossy Oak floor covers.
AND...a full backseat that the kids can stretch out in! No more fights on the way to Marion to meet Nana and Papa in the standard cab. Score.
This is also a shout out to my fabulous husband. I jokingly say he is a brat with his new truck, but he deserves it. Pete is such a hard worker and really puts his heart and soul into providing for our family and being the spiritual leader of our household. He didn't have to travel this week, and it really reminded of how blessed the kids and I are to have him! He and I even got to leave the office for a couples' lunch on Monday!
Big time storms yesterday and early this morning, but we managed to squeeze in baseball game number 2 last night...Wolverines tied the Aggies, 6-6. JACK GOT A HIT! He played center field and third base, and stopped a grounder foul ball to third with his glove! (major).
Gracie is down at UALR this morning at a 4 hour training camp with Olympic swimmers. Eager to hear how that experience is going.
Jack is going back to LR for Disney On Ice tonight in a birthday party group. Is he exicted about that? Uh, YES! The show was really quite good, but I love to watch ice skating anyway.
Laundry load #2 in the washer...but I AM thankful I have clothes to wash....D

Weekend Recap
Happy Monday, everyone! We arrived home safely from a wet and rainy Fayetteville yesterday around 3:00 pm. To say it mildy, Gray had an awesome meet! She dropped 6 seconds in time in 4 of her 5 events. She is a couple seconds off in making a state time in her two favorite events - 50 breast and 100 breast, and is a couple seconds off from state time in 50 back. We had fun with the Meek girls, too. I will try and post some pics later tonight. We have a busy week coming up - what else is new? Jack has his FIRST BASEBALL GAME tomorrow night, we are going to see Disney on Ice Wednesday night in LR, and he has another game on Friday.

We love spring...
...cuz spring means BALL SEASON! Gracie's team continues to drill on fielding and hitting. Gray is hitting extremely well so far with some renewed power in her swing. She will be pitching and playing first and short. No practice this weekend, however. We switch from the field to the pool for her first long course meet at U of A - her favorite pool. We are making it a girls only trip, carpooling with good friends and neighbors the Meeks. Pete, Jack, Scott, and Charlie (the boys) are staying behind for "Motorcycle Mania" on Saturday night in LR. And Jack has a baseball practice game on Saturday. He is loving his team and coaches, and lists shortstop as his favorite position so far.

HE IS RISEN!
He is Risen, Indeed!
The two buds, after the Saturday hard boiled egg hunt.

Here is one way to get Jack to stand still for a picture. The beautiful cross at Trinity!
Special thanks to Pastor Breite for the excellent photography skills.
I just LOVE this picture outside of church. Mom - you look sooooo pretty!
The King of Cape Rock - Mississippi River viewing after service.
Five cuties! We miss you Ben and Emma!
So Dennis has told his boys about the Easter he had a broken arm. Evidently, his version is that Doug and I pushed him 10 feet out of an apple tree, only to fall to his doom.
The weather was perfect!
Just look at this precious, handsome boy. Look closely at the necklace he received in Sunday school. "It has Jesus on it!"
You may only be photographed throwing up peace signs if Nana is not snapping the picture. :)
Oh...and this is Jack...upon arrival back in Conway, he is seen here practicing to be a future crucifer at Trinity. Not sure where the rolled-up turban/tshirt came from...
All in all, we had a FANTASTIC time in Cape! Thanks Mom and Dad for always being the best hosts!
Happy Birthday, Fred!
Gracie is still lobbying for a real bunny...D
