Michigan Wolverines

The Conway Tikes League has their first practice tonight. Our Michigan Wolverine had a blast and smacked the crap out of the ball. He is so excited for baseball season. Gray was back in the pool after a two week break. And we just watched Kate Gosselin strut her stuff (or not) on Dancin' with the Stars...scary.

So sad that Baylor lost...D

Thanks Nana and Papa!

Nothing like a bunch of crazy counsins having a blast together! From the looks of these pictures, the kids had a great time! These are typical "gracie" photos, not much story behind them, other than posing for the camera in different forms. We'll be back in Cape next Friday for Easter - looking forward to hard boiled eggs and resurrection rolls...enjoy the photos!...D

My Babies are Coming Home Today!

My wonderful husband is on his way to Marion to meet Nana and Papa and the kiddos. He left a little early so he could eat breakfast at a diner and take a conference call. He just called me from the Sawmill Cafe in Forrest City, sitting in front of a plate of eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast.

Many thanks to my fantastic parents for a super week for the kids, and Den and Deidre, too! Gracie texted me last night and said she cannot wait to tell us about all of the fun stuff they did this week. And I have enjoyed a perfectly clean and tidy house for a week, where everything is in its place and STAYS there. How boring...heehee. Bring back my crazy life, because I love it!

Btw, my bracket is pretty much toast...D

The House is Quiet

We had a successful 'kid transfer' at the Marion McDonald's yesterday at high noon. The kids were raring to go and excited to start this week of Camp Cape, or Labor Camp, as it has been called, since Papa has big plans for their assistance with planting potatos. They made it home safely and spent the night with the J-5 last night. Thanks Den and Deidre!

Pete and I came home and watched the second half of the Northern Iowa/Kansas game at Moe's. What a game! The Kansas loss killed my bracket, but a great story for the winner! That little Ali is my new favorite player to watch. By the way, I am still in the lead in our work bracket - I have picked 20 of the winners so far. We'll see what happens after today.

It is cold and rainy here today. Good day to tackle the kids rooms. They won't recognize them when they get home....heehee.

Love to all...D

Caps For Sale!

Today is 'dress as your favorite book character' day at Woodrow Cummins Elementary. Here we have the little man selling caps, with one of the rascal monkeys. Hard to see, but Jack is also wearing his black suit, dress shirt, and tie. We couldn't quite talk him into a mustache.

We had a fantastic long weekend with Uncle Freddy here. The kids just adore him and it was great to spend time catching up! He left Monday morning and Uncle Michael (Pete's boss) rolled in Monday afternoon. Michael and Pete had sales training in LR all week, so Michael stayed with us. He took quite a liking to the gorgeous Gracie and she soaked up all of the attention for a change! What a great guy - Pete is very blessed to have him in his corner.

4 more days until the spring session of Camp Cape begins!
Let the March Madness roll...D

HE'S HERE!

I wanted to post with a picture, but that will have to wait until later! Uncle Freddy arrived this morning at 7:45 am on the redeye from Portland to Atlanta to Little Rock!!!!! We concocted this surprise for Pete and he never suspected a thing! I cannot believe we pulled this off! Pete was so excited he got tears in his eyes.

Gracie knew, only because I cleaned the playroom from head to toe a week and a half ago, and barred them from entering the room since then. She said, "You only clean this up when someone is coming to visit, what is going on?" She wore me down, but that girl kept that secret and never let the cat out of the bag. Good job, GrayGray.

So...the brothers are reunited. When I left them this morning, they were looking at guns, heading to Waffle House, and planning to do some fishing.

Brie - thanks for lending us Fred for the long weekend. Wish you and the kiddos were here, too.

Check back later for pics...D
